If no files are named, the current directory is listed. The view presented is from Aegis' perspective. It unifies the devel- opment directory with the baseline. OOPPTTIIOONNSS The following options are understood: --RReeccuurrssiivvee --LLOOnngg This option implies the --SShhooww--MMooddee, --SShhooww--AAttttrriibbuutteess, --SShhooww-- UUsseerr, --SShhooww--GGrroouupp, --SShhooww--SSiizzee and --SShhooww--WWhheenn options, unless explicitly overridden. --SShhooww--DDoott--FFiilleess This option may be used to show files starting with a dot (.). --HHiiddee--DDoott--FFiilleess This option may be used to hide files starting with a dot (.). This is the default. --SShhooww--RReemmoovveedd--FFiilleess This option may be used to include removed files in the list- ing. --HHiiddee--RReemmoovveedd--FFiilleess This option may be used to exclude removed files from the listing. This is the default. --SShhooww--MMooddee This option may be used to include the mode column in the listing. The mode column indicates the file type and permis- sions. --HHiiddee--MMooddee This option may be used to exclude the mode column from the listing. This is the default. --SShhooww--AAttttrriibbuutteess This option may be used to include the attributes column in the listing. The attributes column indicates whether the file is part of the change, the project or neither; whether the file is being created, modified or removed; whether the file is a source file, a test file, or neither. This is the default. --HHiiddee--AAttttrriibbuutteess This option may be used to exclude the attributes column from the listing. --SShhooww--UUsseerr This option may be used to include file owner information in the listing. --HHiiddee--UUsseerr This option may be used to exclude file owner information from the listing. This is the default. --HHeellpp This option may be used to obtain more information about how to use the _a_e_l_s program. See also _a_e_g_i_s(1) for options common to all aegis commands. All options may be abbreviated; the abbreviation is documented as the upper case letters, all lower case letters and underscores (_) are optional. You must use consecutive sequences of optional letters. All options are case insensitive, you may type them in upper case or lower case or a combination of both, case is not important. For example: the arguments "-project", "-PROJ" and "-p" are all inter- preted to mean the --PPrroojjeecctt option. The argument "-prj" will not be understood, because consecutive optional characters were not supplied. Options and other command line arguments may be mixed arbitrarily on the command line, after the function selectors. The GNU long option names are understood. Since all option names for _a_e_l_s are long, this means ignoring the extra leading '-'. The "----_o_p_t_i_o_n==_v_a_l_u_e" convention is also understood. EEXXIITT SSTTAATTUUSS The _a_e_l_s command will exit with a status of 1 on any error. The _a_e_l_s command will only exit with a status of 0 if there are no errors.
